Product Description

Fabric & Body: Handloom Pure Soft Katan Silk saree is woven in a rich, jewel-toned purple that carries a natural silk sheen, creating a beautiful play of light with every movement. The surface feels smooth and fluid, making the saree easy to drape while still holding a graceful structure. Scattered across the body are finely woven bird motifs in subtle gold zari. These motifs are spaced thoughtfully, allowing the base colour to breathe while adding delicate points of interest. The zari work is understated—not overpowering—so the saree feels elegant rather than heavy. Each motif appears softly raised against the silk, reflecting light gently as the fabric moves.

Border: The border is crafted in a striking contrast red, creating a bold and elegant frame against the rich purple body of the saree. This sharp colour transition enhances the overall look, making the saree visually powerful while still staying refined. Woven along the border are intricate figurative motifs in gold zari, featuring traditional animal forms rendered with fine detailing. The motifs are arranged rhythmically, giving the border a narrative quality that feels inspired by classical Indian art and storytelling traditions. Each figure is carefully defined, with delicate lines and textures that highlight the skill of the weaver.

Pallu: The pallu is the most statement-making part of this saree, designed to bring depth, drama, and traditional richness to the drape. It features a beautifully woven expanse of dense floral jaal in gold zari, creating a luxurious surface that instantly draws the eye. The intricate vines, leaves, and floral forms are closely packed, showcasing fine craftsmanship and giving the pallu a regal, almost heirloom-like presence.

Blouse: The blouse piece is thoughtfully designed to complement the richness of the saree while offering ample scope for styling. It comes in a matching red silk base, creating a strong visual connection with the border and pallu. The silk has a smooth, fluid texture with a soft sheen that lends itself beautifully to both structured and relaxed blouse silhouettes.

Reverse Weave: Handloom weave with pure tested zari.

Our Delivery & Exchange Guide

At Hikayat Banaras, many of our textiles are handcrafted and carefully curated. Because of the nature of such pieces, returns are generally not possible.

However, in the rare case that you receive a wrong or damaged product, our team will be happy to assist you.

• The concern must be reported within 24–48 hours of delivery

• A full, uncut unboxing video showing the sealed parcel and product is required

• Approved cases are resolved through exchange or a store credit note

Please note that cancellations are not possible once an order is placed, including for ready-to-ship and made-to-order items.

As these are handcrafted textiles, slight colour variations and minor weaving irregularities may occur, which are natural characteristics of handloom fabrics.

By default, tassels are added to the dupatta for a finished look.
If you prefer the dupatta without tassels, please inform us on the provided WhatsApp number while placing your order.
