By placing an order through our website, WhatsApp, or Instagram, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. We request you to read them once before purchasing — they exist to keep things clear and fair for both of us.

1. General

These Terms & Conditions govern every purchase made from Hikayat Banaras, whether through our website, WhatsApp, or Instagram.

2. Our Products

We sell handcrafted Banarasi sarees, suits, lehengas, and dupattas — ready-to-ship or made-to-order. Minor variations in colour, weave, or texture are natural to handloom work. They are the signature of a human hand, not a defect.

3. Placing an Order

Orders can be placed on our website, on WhatsApp (+91 73078 59235), or via Instagram DM.

4. Payment

We accept UPI, credit/debit cards (domestic & international), bank transfers, and Cash on Delivery (COD) on orders within India up to ₹25,000. COD orders require an advance payment of ₹500 per piece ordered, with the balance payable on delivery. This advance is non-refundable. GST is included in all listed prices.

5. Shipping & Delivery

Ready-to-ship pieces are dispatched within 5–6 business days of order confirmation; made-to-order pieces are handwoven to order and dispatch within 7–30 days, depending on the piece. Once dispatched, domestic delivery takes 5–8 working days and international delivery takes 7–12 working days, depending on customs. We ship via Blue Dart, DTDC, and Shree Maruti. International duties and taxes are not included and are payable by the customer. Once a parcel is handed to the courier, transit delays are beyond our control, though we will always assist you in tracking and resolving them.

6. Returns, Exchange & Cancellation

We do not offer monetary refunds. Exchange or credit note is offered only if you receive a wrong product or a genuinely defective/damaged product — reported within 48 hours of delivery with a full, uncut unboxing video. Weaving irregularities natural to handloom are not defects. Orders cannot be cancelled once placed.

7. Product Authenticity

Every piece is handcrafted. Slight irregularities in weave, zari, or finishing are inherent to handmade textiles.

8. Intellectual Property

All images, videos, and designs belong to Hikayat Banaras. They may not be reused, shared, or modified without written permission. Resellers may not use our content.

9. Privacy

We collect only basic details (name, phone, address) to process your order. Data is shared only with payment partners (Razorpay, Cashfree) and courier services — never sold or used for third-party marketing.

11. Store's Right to Cancel

Hikayat Banaras reserves the right to cancel any order at its sole discretion. In such cases, any amount paid will be returned as a credit note or, where required by law, to the original payment method. No further compensation or liability applies.
