Product Description

Fabric & Body: The Shikargah Bandhej Khaddi Georgette Saree features a vibrant red base richly woven with playful animal motifs like elephants, deer, and peacocks in golden zari. These motifs are highlighted with touches of pink, green, and purple, adding a colourful and joyful feel. Between the figures are small buti patterns and delicate floral vines that balance the design beautifully. The overall look is traditional, lively, and full of intricate Banarasi charm.

Border: The border features a rich golden zari weave with charming animal motifs like peacocks and elephants, highlighted with touches of pink, purple, and green. These motifs are set against a detailed geometric zari base, giving the border a grand and traditional look. The bright red edging completes the design beautifully, adding a bold and festive finish to the saree.

Pallu: The pallu is richly woven with large round motifs featuring Shikargah style like peacocks and elephants in vibrant shades of purple, green, and pink, all highlighted with golden zari. These motifs sit beautifully against the deep red base, creating a grand and festive look. The pallu is framed with an ornate zari border showcasing detailed animal and floral patterns, adding depth and richness to the design. The overall effect is traditional, luxurious, and full of intricate Banarasi artistry.

Blouse: The blouse comes in a matching red shade with subtle bandhej-style buti work scattered across the fabric, giving it a soft traditional texture. It is finished with a beautifully woven golden zari border featuring peacock and elephant motifs in green and red, perfectly complementing the saree’s design. The look is festive, coordinated, and rich in Banarasi detailing.

Reverse Weave: Handloom weave with pure tested zari.

Our Delivery & Exchange Guide

At Hikayat Banaras, many of our textiles are handcrafted and carefully curated. Because of the nature of such pieces, returns are generally not possible.

However, in the rare case that you receive a wrong or damaged product, our team will be happy to assist you.

• The concern must be reported within 24–48 hours of delivery

• A full, uncut unboxing video showing the sealed parcel and product is required

• Approved cases are resolved through exchange or a store credit note

Please note that cancellations are not possible once an order is placed, including for ready-to-ship and made-to-order items.

As these are handcrafted textiles, slight colour variations and minor weaving irregularities may occur, which are natural characteristics of handloom fabrics.

By default, tassels are added to the dupatta for a finished look.
If you prefer the dupatta without tassels, please inform us on the provided WhatsApp number while placing your order.

Disclaimer & Measurements

Please note, Each saree is handwoven, which means it comes with its own little quirks—making every piece truly one of a kind.

And just like photos never look the same on every phone, colors may appear slightly different on screen than in real life.

These aren’t flaws, but the charm of handloom. For absolute clarity, feel free to reach out for a video call.
