Product Description

Fabric & Body: Handloom Pure Kora Silk Saree features wraps around you and covers most of the drape. It is what you see and feel the most when wearing the saree. This part can be plain or designed with small woven motifs (bootis), like the delicate patterns seen across the fabric here, adding subtle detail without making it heavy.

Border: The border of the saree runs along the edges and gives the saree its structure and definition. It is often where you’ll see more detailed weaving, like the intricate zari patterns shown here, which add richness without overpowering the saree. The border helps frame the entire drape, making the saree look complete and balanced when worn. It also plays a role in how neatly the saree falls and how well the pleats hold.

Pallu: The pallu is the most detailed and expressive part of the saree—the section that comes over your shoulder and is often the first thing people notice. This is where the weaving is usually the richest, with intricate zari work and dense patterns, like the beautifully woven panel seen here. It adds depth and character to the saree, making it feel complete and special.

Blouse: The blouse is the stitched piece worn with the saree, and it completes the entire look. While the saree carries the design, the blouse adds structure and helps the drape sit properly on the body. It can be kept matching for a soft, elegant feel or styled differently to create contrast. The most important part of a blouse is its fit—it should be comfortable, well-shaped, and easy to wear for long hours.

Reverse Weave: Handloom weave with pure tested zari.

Our Delivery & Exchange Guide

At Hikayat Banaras, many of our textiles are handcrafted and carefully curated. Because of the nature of such pieces, returns are generally not possible.

However, in the rare case that you receive a wrong or damaged product, our team will be happy to assist you.

• The concern must be reported within 24–48 hours of delivery

• A full, uncut unboxing video showing the sealed parcel and product is required

• Approved cases are resolved through exchange or a store credit note

Please note that cancellations are not possible once an order is placed, including for ready-to-ship and made-to-order items.

As these are handcrafted textiles, slight colour variations and minor weaving irregularities may occur, which are natural characteristics of handloom fabrics.

By default, tassels are added to the dupatta for a finished look.
If you prefer the dupatta without tassels, please inform us on the provided WhatsApp number while placing your order.

For complete details, please scroll to the footer and read our full Return & Cancellation Policy.

Please Note

Each saree is handwoven, which means it may come with its own little variations—making every piece truly one of a kind. These natural variations are not flaws, but part of the beauty and charm of handloom.

Colours may also appear slightly different across screens and devices due to differences in lighting, photography, and display settings.
