Product Description

Saree's Fabric: Handloom Pure Tissue Silk Saree comes in a white shade that wraps around your body, making up the largest and most visible portion of the saree. It is what you see throughout the drape, except for the pallu and border. This part plays a key role in how the saree looks and feels when worn. The body can be plain for a minimal and elegant look, or it can feature small woven motifs (bootis), textures, or subtle patterns that add depth without making it too heavy. Border: The border of a saree is the edge that runs along its length on both sides. It frames the saree and gives it structure, much like a frame enhances a painting. The border is often where you’ll see detailed weaving, patterns, or zari work, adding richness and definition to the overall look. It not only enhances the visual appeal but also plays a role in how the saree falls and drapes.

Pallu: The pallu is the most detailed and eye-catching part of a saree—the portion that falls over your shoulder. This is where the design is usually the richest, with heavier weaving, intricate patterns, or zari work that makes the saree stand out. While the body is what you wear throughout, the pallu is what people notice first. It adds character and completes the overall look of the saree. A well-made pallu should drape smoothly, feel balanced (not too heavy or stiff), and fall gracefully without constant adjustment.

Blouse: The blouse comes in soft katan silk white color is the stitched piece worn with the saree, and it plays a big role in completing the overall look. While the saree carries the design and craftsmanship, the blouse brings structure and balance to how it is styled. It can either match the saree for a seamless, elegant feel or contrast it to create a more striking look.

Reverse Weave: Handloom weave with pure tested zari.

Our Delivery & Exchange Guide

At Hikayat Banaras, many of our textiles are handcrafted and carefully curated. Because of the nature of such pieces, returns are generally not possible.

However, in the rare case that you receive a wrong or damaged product, our team will be happy to assist you.

• The concern must be reported within 24–48 hours of delivery

• A full, uncut unboxing video showing the sealed parcel and product is required

• Approved cases are resolved through exchange or a store credit note

Please note that cancellations are not possible once an order is placed, including for ready-to-ship and made-to-order items.

As these are handcrafted textiles, slight colour variations and minor weaving irregularities may occur, which are natural characteristics of handloom fabrics.

By default, tassels are added to the dupatta for a finished look.
If you prefer the dupatta without tassels, please inform us on the provided WhatsApp number while placing your order.

Disclaimer & Measurements

Please note, Each saree is handwoven, which means it comes with its own little quirks—making every piece truly one of a kind.

And just like photos never look the same on every phone, colors may appear slightly different on screen than in real life.

These aren’t flaws, but the charm of handloom. For absolute clarity, feel free to reach out for a video call.
